Mrs Rushton is our amazing Head Teacher. She came highly recommended and has dazzled us with her enthusiasm, exciting ideas, boundless energy and a rather impressive collection of shoes.

   Describe yourself in five words: Happy, optimistic, calm, creative, compassionate.Favourite book? Children’s book – The Northern Lights trilogy by Philip Pullman. Adult’s book – A Star called Henry by Roddy Doyle. It made me smile, laugh and cry: an incredible story.

If you had to be trapped on a tv show for a month, what would it be? It definitely has to be Question Time. I love the high drama and emotion of political debate and seeing how people feel so passionately about making a difference to our world. I have been known to tune into the BBC Parliament Channel on occasions … and when election time comes I am in my element!

Mrs Rushton is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo), Designated Safeguarding Lead, Curriculum leader and leads developments in teaching and learning across the school.

                                                                                                

Miss Smith joined our school in September 2015 and is one of the teachers of the Owls class. She is currently on maternity leave.

Mr Wilkinson is the full-time teacher of the Kestrels class. He is our very own Jose Mourinho – inspiring our teams of children playing football, rugby and cricket with good tactics, good team-talks and good humour.

Describe yourself in five words: Bradford City fan for life.

Favourite book? Getting Rich with Jeremy James by David Henry Wilson – a humorous look at how a young boy views the world.

If you had to be trapped in a tv show for a month, what would it be? Top Gear – all those cars to drive and an empty airfield - heaven!!

Mr Wilkinson is our Healthy Schools Subject Leader, with particular responsibility for PE. He also leads Science and Technology, including overseeing e-safety, and contributes to the Maths team.

Mr Hall is our one of our newest teachers.  He is teaching the Hawks class.

What makes you happy:  A nice cup of tea.

Miss Ellis is full of good ideas and lots of energy.  She is teaching our Eagles class and training to be our SENCo.

Mrs Sollis is the school business manager. She can be found in the school office ordering pencils, organising exciting trips, counting money, talking on the phone and – most importantly – giving out stickers.

Describe yourself in five words: Optimistic, sociable, cheerful, friendly, adaptable.

Favourite book: Turning Point by Freya North – brilliant!

What makes you happy? Sunshine, bluebells, Mrs W’s cappuccinos, live music, days out with friends, boat trips, Tottenham winning and all things Cornish.

Mrs Wilkinson is another staff member with a variety of roles. She is the Teaching Assistant in the Kestrels class, administers the school meals payments and is Assistant SENCO. A very organised individual!

Describe yourself in five words: Loves to make and bake.

Favourite book? I have always got a book on the go but if there is nothing about I will return to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice – I probably read it every year!

Singing or dancing? Dancing.

Mrs Wilkinson is assistant SENCo and the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

 

Mrs Amos is the Teaching Assistant in the Hawks class and oversees Kites after school club – a versatile lady! She also drives the minibus.

Favourite book? Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien.

If you were an ice cream flavour, what would you be? Vanilla - plain and simple!

Mrs Amos helps to train and organise our Playground Patrollers (peer mediators). She also has responsibility for collating behaviour logs throughout the school.

Mrs Carter is a Teaching Assistant in the Eagles class and our Forest School Expert - as well as helping in the other classes too. A lovely, understanding lady who is always willing to give second chances. She is also our trained ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant).

Favourite book: The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis.

Favourite song from the soundtrack of your life? Up, Up and Away in my Beautiful Balloon by The Fifth Dimension reminds me of when I was a little girl.

Mrs Boulton is the Teaching Assistant  in the Owls class.

Describe yourself in five words: Tries anything, mainly eats crisps.

Favourite book: I loved reading all the Harry Potter books to my girls.

What makes you happy: Being with my family.

Ms Robertson is our NQT and teaches in the Owls class.

Describe yourself in five words:   Smiley, warm, flexible, determined, loyal.

What makes you happy:  My fabulous boys, my very naughty border terrier Ruby, growing vegetables and cooking for my family and lovely friends.  I am also partial to a medical or crime drama on the tv.

Favourite song:  Nkosi Sikelel' Afrika as it reminds me of where I was born and the family I have in Africa.

Favourite book:  Skellig by David Almond - if you haven't read it, grab a copy!

Favourite sandwich filling:  Tiger loaf with mortadella, rocket and a little mayonnaise.

Miss Graham is the Eagles Teaching Assistant and our Breakfast Club supervisor.

What makes you happy:  Dancing, spending time with my family, a good book with a cup of tea and all animals.

Favourite song:  This changes all the time but currently Joy by Bastille and Senorita by Shaun Mendes and Camila Cabelo.

Describe yourself in five words:  I'm a bit like Tigger!

Favourite book: My favourite children's book is 'The Jolly Postman and Other People's Letters'. As a grown up I love books written by Jojo Moyes.

What is your favourite song from the soundtrack of your life?  'You are my sunshine' - my husband sings it to me when I am sad and we sing it to our children.

What makes you happy? Swimming, cycling, catching up with friends and dancing - I'm always bouncing around.

Mr Bond is our School Crossing Patrol person. He is out in all weathers ensuring everyone can cross the road safely to and from school. During the winter months he wears a special flashing harness which brightens everyone’s day!

Mrs Woodman is a member of the Play Team. She also runs our Kites after school club.
